Understanding Usage Limits

Where to find this:
Services → Account tab → Usage section

Every subscription plan has usage limits for various features. This guide explains what limits exist, how to monitor them, and what happens when you reach them.

What Are Usage Limits?

Usage limits control how much you can use certain features based on your subscription plan. They help keep the platform sustainable while ensuring fair resource allocation.

Types of Limits

Hard Limits (Immediate Enforcement)

These stop you from exceeding the limit:

Pages

  • Base: 7 pages
  • Standard: 15 pages
  • Pro: Unlimited

When you hit the page limit, the "Add Page" button is disabled until you upgrade or delete pages.

Calendars

  • Base: 2 calendars
  • Standard: 5 calendars
  • Pro: 10 calendars

Can't connect more calendars once you reach your limit.

Custom Domains

  • Base: Not available
  • Standard: 1 domain
  • Pro: 3 domains

Domain connection feature is locked on the Base plan.

Soft Limits (Usage Tracked, Warnings Sent)

These allow temporary overages with notifications:

Monthly Bookings

  • Base: 50 bookings/month
  • Standard: 200 bookings/month
  • Pro: Unlimited

If you consistently exceed your limit, you may be asked to upgrade.

API Rate Limit

  • Base: 1,000 requests/hour
  • Standard: 5,000 requests/hour
  • Pro: 20,000 requests/hour

Excessive API usage may be throttled.

Storage

  • Base: 2GB
  • Standard: 10GB
  • Pro: 25GB

Includes images, files, and snapshots. Storage warnings sent at 80% and 95%.

Viewing Your Usage

Usage Dashboard

Access from your account:

  1. Go to Services → Account tab → Usage section
  2. See current usage for all features
  3. View limits based on your plan

What's Displayed

For each feature:

  • Current usage (e.g., 5 pages)
  • Plan limit (e.g., 7 pages)
  • Percentage used (e.g., 71%)
  • Status (OK, Warning, or Limit Reached)

Color-Coded Indicators

Common Limits Explained

Pages Limit

What counts: Every page in your website editor, including:

  • Homepage
  • About, Services, Contact pages
  • Layout pages
  • Hidden/draft pages

What doesn't count: Deleted pages (moved to trash don't count after 30 days).

How to manage:

  • Delete unused pages
  • Use layout pages to share structure (doesn't multiply limit)
  • Upgrade to Standard (15 pages) or Pro (unlimited)

Bookings Limit

What counts: All bookings made by customers in the current billing month, including:

  • Confirmed bookings
  • Completed bookings
  • Cancelled bookings (still count toward monthly total)

Resets: First day of your billing month.

How to manage:

  • Track booking trends monthly
  • Upgrade before busy seasons
  • Use booking limits per plan to distribute demand

Storage Limit

What counts: Total file storage, including:

  • Uploaded images
  • Media library files
  • Page snapshots
  • Backup copies

How to manage:

  • Delete old snapshots
  • Compress images before uploading
  • Remove unused media files
  • Upgrade to a plan with more storage

Calendar Connections

What counts: Number of connected Google Calendars.

Why limited: Each calendar requires API quota and sync resources.

How to manage:

  • Use one calendar for multiple locations if possible
  • Remove calendars for discontinued services
  • Upgrade for more connections

API Rate Limit

What counts: API requests per hour from your account, including:

  • Website page loads (minimal)
  • Booking actions
  • Admin dashboard operations
  • Third-party integrations

Why limited: Prevents abuse and ensures platform performance.

How to manage:

  • Most users never hit this limit
  • If you're building custom integrations, cache data where possible
  • Upgrade to Pro for higher limits

What Happens When You Hit a Limit

Hard Limits

Immediate effect:

  • Feature is disabled or blocked
  • "Upgrade Required" message shown
  • Unable to proceed without action

Example - Pages Limit:

  1. You have 7 pages (Base plan limit)
  2. Try to create an 8th page
  3. Error: "You've reached your page limit. Upgrade to Standard or delete a page."
  4. Can't create page until you upgrade or delete an existing page

Soft Limits

Warning phase (75-100%):

  • Email notification sent
  • Dashboard warning displayed
  • Feature still works

Over-limit:

  • Feature may be temporarily restricted
  • Support may contact you to upgrade
  • Account may be flagged for review

Example - Bookings Limit:

  1. Base plan: 50 bookings/month
  2. You have 40 bookings (80%)
  3. Email: "You're approaching your booking limit"
  4. Reach 50 bookings → Warning shown but bookings still work
  5. Consistently exceed limit → Asked to upgrade

Monitoring Your Usage

Dashboard Widgets

Many plans show usage widgets on your dashboard:

  • Pages: "5 of 7 used"
  • Bookings: "32 of 50 this month"
  • Storage: "1.2GB of 2GB used"

Email Notifications

You receive emails when:

  • Approaching a limit (75%, 90%, 95%)
  • Limit reached
  • Action required (upgrade or reduce usage)

In-App Warnings

Yellow banners appear when you're near limits:

  • Top of relevant sections (e.g., Pages list shows "6 of 7 pages used")
  • Upgrade prompts with direct links to plans

Managing Limits Proactively

Review Usage Monthly

Check your usage dashboard at the start of each month:

  • Identify trends (increasing storage, consistent bookings near limit)
  • Plan upgrades before hitting limits
  • Clean up unused resources

Plan for Growth

If your business is growing:

  • Upgrade before hitting limits (don't wait for errors)
  • Consider annual billing for cost savings
  • Pro plan removes most limits for peace of mind

Optimize Resource Usage

Pages:

  • Delete unused draft pages
  • Consolidate similar pages
  • Use dynamic content where possible

Storage:

  • Optimize images (compress before uploading)
  • Delete old snapshots
  • Remove unused media files

Bookings:

  • Upgrade during busy seasons, downgrade in slow periods
  • Encourage subscription bookings to manage limits better

Temporary Increases

Most plans don't allow temporary limit increases. If you need higher limits, upgrade to the next tier.

Common Questions

Q: Can I buy just more storage without upgrading my whole plan?
A: No, limits are tied to plan tiers. Upgrade to the next tier for more storage.

Q: What happens to my content if I exceed storage in the middle of the month?
A: You'll receive warnings but content remains accessible. You'll be asked to reduce usage or upgrade.

Q: Do deleted pages immediately free up my page count?
A: Pages moved to trash count for 30 days, then they're permanently deleted and don't count.

Q: If I downgrade, do I lose pages over the new limit?
A: You must delete pages before downgrading. The system won't let you downgrade if you're over the new limit.

Q: Can I monitor my team members' individual usage?
A: Usage is aggregated at the account level. Individual user tracking is not available.

Q: Do bookings from cancelled customers count toward my monthly limit?
A: Yes, all bookings (even cancelled ones) count toward your monthly total.

Best Practices

Set Up Alerts

Enable email notifications for usage warnings so you're never surprised.

Regular Maintenance

Monthly routine:

  1. Review usage dashboard
  2. Delete unused snapshots and media
  3. Archive or remove old pages
  4. Check booking trends

Plan Ahead

  • Upgrade before hitting limits (not after)
  • Watch for seasonal trends (busy months may need temporary upgrades)
  • Set reminders to review usage quarterly

Communicate Limits to Team

If multiple people manage your account:

  • Make sure everyone knows the limits
  • Assign someone to monitor usage monthly
  • Plan page/resource creation together
